My Resin Rose 2025 Recap!

Resin Rose just wrapped up! Look at me not taking two weeks to write a post-event blog post this time. ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

I arrived on Thursday night, so I had some free time on Friday before Resin Rose actually started. I tried Canard, located in Oregon City, which was about 10-15 minutes away from Clackamas. It was so good. These foie gras dumplings are probably top 10 eats of 2025 material. If we’re being honest, the Clackamas food options are kinda not that great. (ᵕ—ᴗ—) It’s totally worth the drive or Lyft/Uber ride to Oregon City for a proper meal if you get the time.

On to the dolls!

This year’s theme was Adventures of the Seven Seas. There were lots of great costumes (on dolls and humans) and photo spots to match the theme. It’s always so fun to see how creative people get with the theme!

As always, the event started off with the Friday night dinner for 3-day pass holders. Our table had so many lovely dolls! Their equally lovely owners are La Mienne Doll, Rap1993, and Ryo’s Dollhaus. I promise we didn’t coordinate dolls and outfits — everyone just showed up matching perfectly like that. ( ≧ᗜ≦)

There were lots of raffles, games, and prizes (including a little tiny Rosette). It was so much fun getting to chat with everyone and looking at all of the amazing dolls! It does get a little difficult to take photos during this event just because there are so many people, and everyone is trying to eat food or mingle at the same time, so unfortunately I really just have photos of my own table to share.

3-day pass holders also get these lovely goodie bags! They’re always filled with fun stuff, and once again, the goodie bags were also on theme, with fun extras like Pirate’s Booty, Swedish Fish, and a BEACH BALL? ( ≧ᗜ≦)

The tiny Tic Tacs have returned!

My dolls will love that tiny cup. Look how pretty the keychain and stickers are!

Saturday is always a busy day! My Saturday started off with shopping. 3-day pass holders get early access to the vendor’s room, so I basically knocked out 90% of my shopping in that time. I’m efficient.

I’m going to Japan next month specifically for dolls, so I tried to limit my purchases this time to just clothing for my Noble Dolls girls since the Minifee/Slim MSD size isn’t as common over there. I say tried, because I did end up finding a super cute dress for my Baby Kumako from La Mienne!

There were also lots of fun freebies! The headbands are cute on their own, but you could also decorate them in the DIY room!

It’s giant Val! This amazing doll belongs to Logan.

Here’s my haul! Peep my awesome Hello Kitty, a gift from La Mienne! ♡ She’s the best!

The two packaged sets are from heartcorebabydoll. My #1 Resin Rose tip, especially if you have dolls that are easy to shop for, is to not bring any extra outfits for your dolls. Just bring what you want them to wear on the first day, because you will leave with new stuff anyway. I’m most excited about the purses! I have I think over 100 purses (don’t judge me), so it was kind of sad that my BJDs just had two bags between the five of them!

After my little shopping trip, I went exploring and found the photography room! It’s always a pretty awesome room, but this year, Resin Rose really went all out with the sets.

Look at all of the little details! Huge thank you to the staff for always going above and beyond!

I was very normal about this set.

The beach set was really fun, too!

My next event on Saturday was the Artist Doll Meet, which I hosted! I gave stickers to all of the attendees, and it looked like everyone really liked them! (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) I’m so happy! We had lots of fun with all of the different types of dolls, and it was so interesting to learn that a few attendees actually made the dolls they brought! How cool is that?

I can make…eyes. (ゝڡ∂)ᕗ⌒☆

Our big, happy artist doll family!

It’s so fun to make new friends at doll conventions, but sometimes it gets so hectic. Meetups are a great way to make some time for socializing, and it’s great that Resin Rose lets attendees host meetups as part of the official program.

The swap meet also happened. (ᵕ,,—ᴗ—,,) It’s a bit of a chaotic event, especially for sellers, so I unfortunately didn’t get to take any photos of the event. It’s always so fun to see people leaving with grails. Maybe your impossible to find grail is hiding in someone’s closet, just waiting for the Resin Rose swap meet!

After the swap meet is the pajama party, which is always a fun way to unwind! You don’t have to wear pajamas to the pajama party, but you can! I usually skip the pajamas myself, but it’s fun to dress the dolls up!

If you’re wondering what a BJD pajama party entails, mostly it’s just playing games in a giant group. ( ≧ᗜ≦) It’s super chill, and you can even purchase a VIP pass ahead of time to get access to drinks and snacks. VIP pass holders also get access to an exclusive raffle during the event!

Sunday tends to be a lot more relaxed. I started my day a little later (around 10:30AM) and then headed out to meet La Mienne to hang out. ♡⸜(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⸝♡ Our dolls ended up taking photos with Val!

While taking photos outside, we saw someone with awesome dolls, so we asked her to join us! Here are our dolls with our new friend Mari’s dolls! I love how easy it is to make friends at doll conventions. You already have the whole doll thing in common.

New outfits on both dolls today!

After a quick brunch, I made my way to the hangout room to take a little break, thinking it was empty. Instead, I found a tiny beach party. It was SO cute! There were little props and so many different tiny dolls! Photos really don’t do this tiny beach party justice. Some of the dolls were just a few centimeters tall.

We closed off the convention weekend with the closing ceremony. The room got a little hot, but thankfully Kumu Kuku came to our rescue with these adorable hand fans!

Look at all of those awesome prizes! There was a whole wall filled with dolls of all sizes, clothing, accessories, and even Labubus! It’s always so fun to see the prizes Resin Rose has at the raffle.

This year, there were over 500 attendees! Five hundred! I also learned that due to some 2020 related shenanigans, next year will be the 10th Resin Rose! Fittingly, the theme next year will be Resin Rose 10th Birthday Bash: Celebrating a Decade of Memories, and the convention will run from August 14 through August 16, 2026.

I’ll definitely be attending Resin Rose next year — especially since it starts on my birthday! The staff, volunteers, vendors, and panelists always go the extra mile to make the show wonderful! Thank you all so, so much for another wonderful year!
