New Doll: Blythe Fighting Milk Saranghae

I purchased Blythe Fighting Milk Saranghae directly from Good Smile Company on May 11. This doll came out last year originally, but she was sold out when I first tried to buy her. Thankfully she was restocked! The doll shipped out on May 13 and arrived a week later.

I’ve owned Blythe dolls before, but this is my first Blythe from GSC. Let’s see how she is!

The box had FRAGILE all over it, which might be overkill, but I appreciate my doll being treated like that honestly. (´∀`) Everything was secure and the Blythe box was in great condition.

I saw my order came with a couple of extra gifts, but I wasn’t sure what they were exactly. Turns out I got a pin and a 2024 desk calendar with my order! The calendar features Nendoroids from different series each month.

On to the doll!

She is really securely packed! It was actually a little annoying taking her out! It took me about 20 minutes to get everything out with damaging the box, and even then, there were some areas that still were torn because of all the tape. I’ve been spoiled with Azone’s effortless unboxing experience.

So cute, though! She was worth the effort.

Here’s everything she comes with:

  • Stand

  • Extra hair piece

  • Socks

  • Shoes

  • Earrings

  • Jacket

  • Sweater

  • Skirt

  • Dress

  • Hat

  • Underwear

You get enough for two outfits at least, even more if you’re creative with the mixing and matching. The total was $160 after shipping, so I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth.

All of the clothing is nicely made with real apparel fabric. I was worried about the earrings breaking as I put them on, but there wasn’t any issue in the end.

By the way, she has a manicure! I was planning to put this doll on a Pure Neemo body, but the manicure is too cute to let go!

Good Smile Company is also doing a great job producing Blythes. The body just feels better and sturdier than previous releases - there was a reason most people put Blythes on new bodies, let’s just say that. I’m glad GSC is taking care of those quality issues. I think she’ll stay on the default body after all.

My only complaint with the doll is the ridiculous amount of product in Blythe’s hair, but I just recently dealt with one of the Kylie Jenner Bratz dolls, so I think I can handle fixing this, too.

Let’s take a look at Blythe’s eye colors!

Here she is unboxed, dressed, and on her stand. I can’t wait to buy outfits for her!
